Meta has announced new partnerships with Vistra, Oklo, and TerraPower to secure up to 6.6 gigawatts of nuclear energy, surpassing the total electricity demand of New Hampshire. These deals are intended to power Meta's data centers and support its artificial intelligence ambitions, with the company also aiming to extend the life of existing nuclear plants and accelerate new reactor technologies.

The agreements position Meta as one of the largest corporate purchasers of nuclear energy in U.S. history. While financial terms were not disclosed, Meta expects the nuclear energy to come online by 2030 at the earliest, and the projects are projected to create thousands of skilled jobs and add new energy to the grid.
