Arsenal’s new signing Viktor Gyökeres says that after so much talk - he’s ready to hit the ground running. The Swede’s move from Sporting Lisbon was confirmed last weekend - becoming Mikel Arteta’s fifth new signing of the off season.

I've been on loans a lot of times, where I think I haven't gone really the way I wanted. Of course, that's been tough, but I think you learn a lot at the same time to grow and to know what you really have to do to play on a high level and to be a better player. Both as a football player, but also as a person. I think I've grown a lot during my years and I think that's what has given me this opportunity. Now I just want to give back on the pitch, so I think it's time for that now. Of course, I know the history. A lot of great players have had it. It's a big history behind it. Of course, it's an honour to wear it, but there weren't too many numbers available. But I think that was an easy pick for me and a great number. I think I'm very strong physically. I'm good at running in behind the defence and being available during the games. Of course, I always want to score goals. I think it comes down to how much pressure you put on yourself and what you want to do when you're on the pitch. I think that's the most important thing, what I want to do, and I'll try to do it as much as possible when I'm on the pitch. Always play the way we want and of course we want to go into every game with the mentality that we're going to win. I just want to help the team as much as possible when I'm on the pitch.
