An Adelaide man has been shot dead allegedly with his own gun following a struggle in South Australia's north. It's the second shooting on the same road in just a fortnight, making neighbours fear for their safety.

A 53-year-old man from Taperoo was found dead at a house on Stebenheath Road in Manopara West, Adelaide, following a violent altercation involving a firearm. Police report that the two men involved were known to each other, and the deceased was allegedly shot with his own gun, which was recovered at the scene. 

A 31-year-old man from the address is assisting police with their investigation. The incident marks the second shooting on Stebenheath Road within a fortnight, following a separate brawl that resulted in six arrests. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police.

We didn't hear anything, but to have it so close, it is scary, very scary. Upon their arrival, a 53-year-old Taperoo man was found dead, allegedly shot with his own gun that authorities recovered nearby. Two doors down from you, it's not a nice feeling, no. It's just a shock, you know, I wonder what the hell was going on this morning. The home's fence was also damaged during the altercation, which a 31-year-old man from the address is now assisting police with. It's the second shooting on Stebenheath Road in just a fortnight, with six people arrested over a separate brawl last week. I am getting fed up with everything now, to tell you the truth. Law and order just doesn't seem to exist. Feel a bit unsafe, so we'll have to maybe do something about the security of our own place. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
