Victoria Police have arrested a man suspected of decapitating a man and murdering a pregnant woman in Mount Waverley after a four-hour man hunt. Family and friends are in mourning.

Athena Georgiopoulos, 39, and Andrew Gunn, 50, were found dead in their Mount Waverley home after neighbours reported hearing a loud argument. Police allege that Ross Judd, a 34-year-old homeless man who reportedly had an ongoing dispute with Mr Gunn, is responsible for the deaths. Judd was arrested at a nearby train station after a four-hour search and has been charged with two counts of murder. He did not apply for bail and will remain in custody until his next court appearance. The incident has shocked the local community, with friends and family mourning the loss of the couple, who were expecting their first child.

Screams and shouting, things like shut up. Their accused murderer is 34-year-old homeless man Ross Judd. Friends claim he knew Mr Gunn and had an ongoing dispute with him about a dog. It's alleged Mr Gunn was decapitated. Neighbours say they still can't believe this happened on their quiet street. I've been here 68 years and nothing like this has happened here. Athena's mother Petty told Tennew she learned about her daughter's death from a cousin, saying she was just a very happy girl. She was very excited about the baby because the doctor said she would never be pregnant and then she suddenly was. She's very innocent. Police arrested Ross Judd at Westall train station after a four-hour manhunt. He had two German shepherds with him. Friends claim one belonged to the victim. He's been charged with two counts of murder. The court heard it's his first time in custody and requires medication and support for physical health issues. He made no application for bail. Neighbours say the graffiti sprayed across the unit appeared on the same night as the deaths. Today the bizarre ramblings were removed.
