Foyt, who is outspoken against the 2SLGBTQ+ community and abortion, has continued his tour by performing in private venues. While some community members and officials have expressed support for the permit denials, others have raised questions about free speech. Foyt plans to continue his tour in western Canada, though it is uncertain if those events will proceed.

His first Canadian event this year was supposed to be held here at York Redoubt National Historic Site in Nova Scotia but there was public outcry. What I want to know is how this got approved in the first place. Then Parks Canada revoked his permit citing safety concerns. Various municipal governments have followed suit. I think that that just shows a lot of respect for the queer community on their end. In a statement, Foyt says if I had shown up with purple hair and a dress claiming to be a woman the government wouldn't have said a thing but to publicly profess deeply held Christian beliefs is to be labelled an extremist and to have free worship events classified as public safety risks. It was very peaceful. These Nova Scotia pastors hosted Foyt at their home Wednesday night. He was here and had no political agenda just the gospel and his love for Canada. We got we got slandered with a lot of abuse. A lot of very hateful emails, texts. This expert says limiting free speech is a fine line. Because somebody says something I find hateful it's not a justification for silencing that person. Foyt is planning another leg in western Canada next month including one at the Alberta legislature.
