Some celebrated the chance for more people to connect with Imane to share history, while others argued that she should remain in Ethiopia. Lucy will be displayed alongside Selam, a fossil of another baby discovered in the same region and dating back even further. I think for the rest of the world it's good to be made more aware of where Lucy actually came from and give that connection from them to their past. This is part of everybody's history. We all stem from this, so everybody should be able to relate to seeing Lucy and seeing what it means for us as a species as we've evolved.
