But with Oscar bars already swarming, one battle after another is already upping the stakes. Viva la revolución! You start off as someone who's wanting to change the world and end up as someone who's desperate for your world not to change. It's about somebody who was incredibly passionate about their convictions at a certain time and then realises that, you know, that time has now passed and he's trying to reconnect or connect somehow with his daughter. Who's this? Oh, they're just my friends. Now, is that a he or a she or a they? It's not that hard. They, them. OK, I just want to be polite. You were once the young talent on a movie set. How do you reflect when you've got someone like Chase, who plays your daughter Willa, this is her very first movie role and she's playing your daughter. How do you look out for her? Like, I remember being, you know, starting out in my first movie and you're kind of like a sponge. It's me, isn't it? You just can't stand the fact that I exist. No, it's not that at all. And I did that on my first, you know, major role with Robert De Niro in This Boy's Life. I got to watch his process. You don't necessarily ask questions, but you see the way people are making choices. And Chase just was so incredibly committed. And she's just a revelation in this movie. She carries the whole movie emotionally. The movie also stars Sean Penn, Tiana Taylor, Regina Hall and Benicio del Toro, and is topical, to say the least. You know what freedom is? No fear. And the movie deals with extremism, you know, extremism on both ends. And we're living in a day and age where no one's listening to anyone and people have their convictions and their beliefs and they think they're right with that.
