The bipartisan interest underscores the seriousness with which Congress is approaching the matter, with some Republicans indicating that confirmation of survivor deaths would represent a significant threshold for further action.

All right, lawmakers will soon receive classified briefings after expressing concern over that U.S. military double strike on a suspected drug boat that we've been talking about this morning. The ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee said the naval admiral who ordered those strikes will brief members himself. The operation has been called a potential war crime by multiple members of Congress. I want to bring in CBS News congressional correspondent Kaitlan Huey Burns to talk more about this. So, Kaitlan, this is interesting that Admiral Mitch Bradley is going to brief those members of Congress. What do we know about these briefings and how soon will they happen? Well, Vlad, they've been called for by both Democrats and Republicans, and that's what makes this situation so unique up here on Capitol Hill, that you haven't seen Republicans essentially rushing to the defense secretary's defense here. They're saying that they want more information, and then they will assess whether there were any laws, rules of law broken in this second strike. Now, we heard yesterday from the Senate chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Roger Wicker, who said that he wants to see video and audio of that strike before making any sort of assessment. So that's exactly what they're going to be looking for in these briefings, and they also want to know if, in fact, there were survivors killed. They want to hear that directly from the person who the White House says ordered these strikes. They've also been in contact with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Cain, and they want to hear from him as well. But, Vlad, the bigger picture here is that you have a bipartisan group up here on Capitol Hill wanting to know more information and concerned about what exactly happened with these strikes and if, in fact, there were survivors killed.
