Latvian police, working alongside EU agencies and law enforcement from Austria and Estonia, have dismantled a significant internet fraud network accused of scamming thousands of victims across Europe. The operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects and the seizure of 1,200 SIM box devices and 40,000 SIM cards.

Authorities allege the criminal group defrauded victims of nearly 5 million euros, primarily in Latvia and Austria. Europol also reported that the network facilitated other criminal activities, including migrant smuggling and extortion.
