A car wash in Los Angeles was the site of a recent immigration enforcement operation in which seven workers were detained by federal agents. According to the owner, Ben Fora, the agents arrived in unmarked vans, wearing masks and carrying firearms, leading customers to believe there was an active shooter. Some customers and workers hid in a closet, and the incident left many visibly shaken.

The operation occurred amid a nationwide increase in immigration enforcement, following a Supreme Court decision supporting the Trump administration. The car wash owner has since advised employees to keep their identification documents with them at all times. Local law enforcement and community groups are monitoring ICE activities, and the owner emphasized his support for law and order, while expressing concern for the distress caused to those present during the raid.

On Monday, the Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration. Homeland Security says it's planning major operations nationwide. There's already a buildup in Chicago. Borders are Tom Holman. We're now out looking for non criminals. Now if we run into a non criminal during these operations, they're absolutely going to be taken in custody. Amid that threat, local law enforcement teams to document ice operations. CBS's Sasha Qureshi drove through Chicago with community activist Maricela Batista. What kinds of individuals make up the rapid response teams? It's community members, parents, Children of immigrants. Do you anticipate larger scale operations? It's everyone. They are targeting everyone. If you look brown back at the L. A. Car Wash, Ben Fora is now training new employees. He says he always worked in the office, but that didn't matter during the raid. Did they allow them to come back and get their documents to show him? No, they just grabbed him and took him. One guy was screaming. My stuff is in my locker, but no one wanted to hear it. So the owner here is now telling all of his workers to keep all of their papers on them at all times while they're working. And by the way, he says he's all for law and order.
