Among those affected were Eddie Dunbar and Ben Healey, while Louis Barret managed to finish the stage despite suffering significant bruising.

Following the incident, Tadej Pogacar regained the yellow jersey, overcoming defending champion Jonas Vingegaard. The crash has impacted the standings and the condition of several competitors as the race continues.
