Major Hurricane Kiko continues to track westward in the Eastern Pacific, potentially setting its sights on the Hawaiian Islands. Though exact details of where it will track are still uncertain, many models suggest the storm will pass near Hawaii as a low-end hurricane or tropical storm as early as Tuesday.

Hurricane Kiko is currently a strong Category 4 system in the East Pacific, moving west at a slow pace of eight miles per hour. While the storm is expected to gradually weaken as it approaches the Hawaiian Islands, forecasts suggest it could still cause notable impacts depending on its final path.

Meteorologists are closely monitoring whether Kiko will pass to the north, south, or directly impact the islands. The slow movement of the hurricane means it will take several days before any potential effects are felt, prompting residents and travelers in Hawaii to stay alert for further updates.

And this is Hurricane Kiko. And this, obviously, major hurricane, strong Category 4 system right now, moving west at eight miles per hour. So this slow movement's gonna take some time to maybe impact the Hawaiian Islands. So, of course, looking at the long-term outlook and the guidance here, this storm system will slowly lose its oomph, but as it's working in towards the Hawaiian Islands, we could be still experiencing some really big impacts. And obviously, it depends whether it goes on the south side of the islands, the north side of the islands, direct general vicinity of a hit, so to speak. So that is something that we will be watching going into the middle part of next week. Again, it's a slow mover. It's gonna take all the rest of this week through the weekend to eventually. But notice, we've got general consensus of where it's headed, and it is definitely gonna be showing some kinds of impacts to the Hawaiian Islands. Anybody traveling there, anyone with family there, I know a lot of the folks in and around Hawaii are keeping a very close eye on this one.
