The cost of basic goods has been very high, and before we were able to get by. But now I hope that whoever takes office will govern well. There's a lot of crime on the streets, a lot of theft, many unemployed people, including youths and elderly. Moncada has advocated to democratise the economy and reform the justice system. Nasralla says he will root out corruption and is pushing for more private investment in jobs and education, while Nasfura wants to restore the rule of law. However their platforms were overshadowed in recent days by the US President Donald Trump, who endorsed Nasfura and vowed to pardon convicted drug trafficker and ex-president Juan Orlando Hernandez of the same party. Experts are unsure whether it will help or hinder the Conservative Party's chances.
