Fallout 76's newest update, 'Gone Fission', adds fishing as a new activity across the game's Appalachian setting. Players can fish in rivers, ponds, and other bodies of water, encountering a variety of fish and earning rewards.

The update also introduces a seasonal event where players can collect fishing-themed items to decorate their in-game camps. Completing quests and daily challenges allows players to upgrade their fishing poles and catch better fish, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Game On: ‘Fallout 76: Gone Fission’

When it comes to fishing, Appalachia is a land a-swim with opportunity. The cozy pastime of fishing has surfaced in Fallout 76's latest update, Gone Fission. Just step up to the bank, cast your line, and when your bobber starts bobbing, reel in the rewards. Gone Fission, so fishing has finally come to the wasteland in 76. Anywhere you can swim, you can fish. So for folks familiar with our map, it takes place in Appalachia. There's rivers, ponds, inlets, outlets, creeks, all sorts of crazy fish in these bodies of water. And when you've caught your fill, pop over to the local tackle shop to swap fish tails. Taking part in the new seasonal event gives players the opportunity to catch some goodies to deck out their in-game camps. So there's a lot of fishing-related items for your camp inside the seasons, and they're using all that. So you've got docks, you've got the boats, you've got all the fish nets, you've got everything out there, and people are actually really creating an experience for you to come whenever you visit their camp. A place to show off all the bits and bobs you collect in your travels. And the advice for aspiring anglers? Go meet the mysterious fishermen, do those quests so that you can get your fishing pole, and get through the dailies and the challenges so that you can upgrade that fishing pole so you can start catching better and better fish.
