French prosecutors have announced the arrest of four more individuals in connection with the daylight jewel heist at the Louvre that occurred on October 19. The newly detained suspects, two men aged 38 and 39 and two women aged 31 and 40, are all from the Paris region.

Authorities have not disclosed the specific roles these suspects allegedly played in the theft, which involved loot valued at around $102 million. With these latest arrests, the total number of people believed to be involved in the heist has risen to eight.

Prosecutors in Paris say they're making headway in their investigation into last month's daring daylight heist at the Louvre. Breaking News correspondent Chanel Cole has been reading in from our newsroom in New York. Chanel, what do we know about this morning's news? Well, some new details in that ongoing investigation this morning. French authorities say they have now arrested four more people, Mugo, in connection to that wild heist that took place in the Louvre that really had the world watching. Those suspects are now described as two men aged 38 and 39 and two women ages 31 and 40. All French police say are from the Paris region. Now, important to mention, today's announcement, Mugo, did not include information on exactly details around what police believe these people did or what role they may have played in that October 19th theft. But as you know, this is a massive and very fluid investigation. The loot there was valued at around $102 million. We can also tell you four other suspects were arrested and charged last month, which now means the total number of people the police believe were involved in this heist, Mugo, is around eight people.
