The fighting has been intensified by the use of Russian first-person vision (FPV) kamikaze drones, which have targeted trenches and evacuation routes, complicating efforts to evacuate the wounded. Ukrainian authorities have responded by deploying additional troops and weaponry to the area, as Russia appears to be pushing for territorial gains ahead of an upcoming international summit.

These Ukrainian soldiers were injured during what's being described as the largest and potentially most consequential Russian advance in months. The men were trying to defend positions close to what remains of Pokrovsk, a strategically important town that has been fought over for more than a year and is being gradually surrounded. This drone footage from a Ukrainian telegram channel which we can't independently verify reportedly shows killed Russian soldiers, but many got through gaps in Ukrainian defensive lines, advancing 10 kilometres in a couple of days and potentially threatening Ukrainian supply routes. Again we continue to talk about the tactics that they have been using to cut off logistics. If they capture Pokrovsk, then in the future they will cut off logistics in several strategic cities. It will be significantly more complicated. This Russian military video released on Tuesday reportedly shows Russian soldiers celebrating the capture of nearby Yabunivka. The Ukrainian army in the area says it struggled with the number of Russian first-person vision or FPV kamikaze drones hitting trenches and evacuation routes. There is great difficulty in reaching the wounded, transporting them from the stabilisation point to the advanced surgical group. Due to the fact that Russian drones can fly very far, therefore there is a danger both for the wounded and for the crews who want to rescue them. Ukraine's president says Russia is moving troops and equipment in preparation for an attempted advance towards Pokrovsk. Ukrainian army says it has deployed additional troops and more weaponry around Pokrovsk to try and prevent a more consolidated Russian advance. It says that Russia is trying to take as much territory as it can before the summit in Alaska on Friday. And with so many Russian soldiers being killed, seemingly at any cost.
