The operation reportedly affected 17 college basketball programs, 39 players, and corrupted 29 games across several major conferences, including the Big East, Atlantic 10, Sun Belt, and Horizon League. Authorities described the scheme as a significant betrayal of the sport, with widespread impact on both collegiate and professional basketball.

This conspiracy we allege originated on the other side of the world in China in 2022 with Antonio Blakeney, a former LSU All-American college basketball player and former NBA Chicago Bull player. The scheme was simple but devastating, bribing players to underperform so fixers could win bets against the point spread. This was a massive scheme. It enveloped the world of college basketball. It included conferences such as the Big East, the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Sun Belt, the Horizon League. 17 programs, 39 players, 29 games corrupted for profit.

After clearing major political hurdles after more than two decades, the mammoth trade deal now faces further delay pending a judicial verdict.
