Police are hunting for at least one shooter after the family home of a Sydney rapper with alleged gang links was sprayed with more than 20 bullets. It comes five days after another home was shot up in the same suburb.

Police are investigating a shooting incident at a home in Sydney where more than 20 bullets were fired. The residence was occupied by a 15-year-old boy and two women at the time, but no injuries were reported. The home is linked to rapper Ali Younis, also known as A-Huncho, who is believed to have been the intended target. 

Authorities are considering whether this incident is connected to another recent shooting in the area, which was thought to be a case of mistaken identity. Forensic examination of the bullets is underway as detectives work to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.

These people are just out to terrorise people. People are getting shot and carried on here all the time. Just five days ago, only a few streets away, another family home was shot at, in what was thought to be a case of mistaken identity. It's brazen, it's dangerous behaviour and it's putting the community at risk. It's behaviour police won't tolerate. Detectives are looking at whether both shootings are linked, as Younis reportedly believed he had a target on his back, telling a court in June that he feared for his safety. Neighbours say the front of the home was boarded up just days before it was peppered with bullets. Police now tasked with the painstaking work of digging out every single one for forensic examination as they work to zero in on who pulled the trigger and why. Tallulah Thompson, 10 News.
