Micah Mendoza, an entrepreneur based in Bulacan, Philippines, has adapted to frequent flooding in her area by continuing to sell products online, even while standing in waist-high water. Wearing waders to keep dry, Mendoza uses a live selling platform and has attracted a steady audience of over 32,000 followers on TikTok. 

She reports that the recent heavy rains and flooding, caused by typhoon and monsoon seasons, may have even boosted her business. Typhoon Koh May recently made landfall in the region, bringing strong winds before weakening to a tropical storm.

Typhoon Koh May, packing winds of 75 miles per hour, made landfall early Friday morning and has since weakened to a tropical storm.
