A 21-year-old convenience store worker in Adelaide was stabbed in the neck just before closing time and ran across traffic to seek help. Bystanders at a nearby hotel provided assistance, and the victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but has since stabilised.

The attack was carried out by two masked men who entered the store and fled in a dark-coloured car. Workers report that the store has been targeted multiple times recently, with ten break-ins in the past three months. Police are investigating, and locals expressed confidence that the perpetrators will be apprehended.

One of the guy who was in the car park, they said he had a machete. Diners unaware of the unfolding situation outside. These sorts of things are happening just before Christmas, it's not very good. The victim makes it to the hotel across the road where staff and patrons spring into action. He was taken to hospital in a critical condition but has since stabilised. People are willing to come in, dive in, support and help. Moments before the attack, a car pulls up to the small kiosk and two men enter. I came back and saw the convenience store was rocked and I could see all the boxes on the floor. The shop owner didn't want to go on camera but did provide this image of one of the masked attackers. Minutes later, the suspects jump into a dark-coloured car and flee the scene. Workers say it's not the first time the convenience store has been targeted. They claim the shop has been broken into 10 times in the past three months. Two nights before of that situation, someone broke the glasses of one another shop near of that shop. Locals confident those responsible will be found soon. Mostly these days, they're pretty dumb and they always get caught anyway. Abbey Smith, 10 News.
