An NBA game in Chicago between the Bulls and the Miami Heat was postponed due to unsafe playing conditions caused by condensation on the court. Unusually high temperatures, combined with rain and an NHL game on the ice the previous night, led to moisture accumulating on the basketball court.

Efforts by arena crews to dry the court were unsuccessful, as there were not enough towels, mops, or air conditioning to make the surface safe for play. Both teams and their fans will have to wait for the game to be rescheduled.

Condensation on court postpones NBA game in Chicago

It was the Chicago heat, not the Miami heat, that had crews frantically mopping up this court. The Windy City's temperatures surged to 60 Thursday, nearly 30 degrees above normal. Rain and an NHL game on the ice the night before conspired to create the condensation. There weren't enough towels, mops or A.C. to make it safe, so Bulls and Heat players and fans now have to wait for the game to be made up.
