Seeing the team name, seeing the branding, seeing so many people excited. Hands in the air! Excited about Denver's newly named professional women's soccer team, Denver Summit FC. We finally get to have a team for the girls. The NWSL has just been phenomenal to watch. Women's sports is growing exponentially and it's just awesome to see the investment and the interest in it. Fans of all ages turning McGregor Square into... It's a sea of green. It's amazing. With Saturday's block party celebrating the new name and new identity of the team. I think it really describes Denver and Colorado in general. It's just, it fits in well. Because for fans... I got in line about 45-ish minutes ago and so I'm almost at the front. Scoring this much is worth the wait. I have never been in a city when they launched a sport and especially for it to be a women's sport. I'm a super big fan of women's sports and I love the attention they're getting. Jen Millay, the team's president, says this turnout shows women's sports are for everyone. I mean it just sort of really resonates with us of just how much people love this club already and how excited they are to welcome women's soccer here to Denver and to Colorado. Giving the next generation goals both on and off the field to shoot for. It's nice to know that I actually have a place to go after I turn 18. It means a lot because now we have a women's soccer team. So it used to be only men's and we play soccer so it's fun to watch a women's soccer league. Jen Milanski, Denver 7.
