The U.S. Coast Guard has unloaded a record-setting drug seizure in Florida, with authorities reporting a total value of $473 million. The haul included more than 61,000 pounds of cocaine and 14,000 pounds of marijuana, intercepted during 19 operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

According to officials, the amount of cocaine seized could have supplied fatal overdoses to 23 million people, equivalent to the population of Florida. The drugs were confiscated between June and August during coordinated maritime operations.
