The island nation, located off the coast of West Africa, has previously participated in the Africa Cup of Nations four times, reaching the quarter-finals in 2013 and 2023. With a population of approximately 525,000, Cape Verde is the smallest nation among those qualified for the next World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
