The Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs summoned the Ivorian ambassador to express outrage and called for clarity on the incident. Protesters have also called for justice and, in some cases, the resignation of the Ivorian president. The Burkinabe government has stated that the death will not go unpunished.

Dressed in white, hundreds of Bukinabe took to the streets of the capital, Ouagadougou. They marched from Thomas Sankara Memorial to the Embassy of Cote d'Ivoire in Ouagadougou to protest the death of Alain Traoré alias Alino Faso. The influencer was found hanged on Thursday, July 24, in his cell in Abidjan, unstated by the Ivorian prosecutor. The circumstances of his death were deemed suspicious by the protesters in Ouagadougou. They claim Alino Faso hanged himself, something we will never accept, not even for eternity, simply because we know Alino Faso, he was someone who fought day and night. He would not hang himself over the pettiness of some authorities who don't even know where they are headed. Following the announcement of the influencer's death, Bukina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Corporation and Bukina Beza Broad, summoned the Shageda Fair of the Ivorian Embassy to express outrage and disapproval of a procedure that violates diplomatic principles and values. Jean-Marie Karamoko demanded clarity on this tragedy and the repatriation of the body. The protesters echoed this demand. First of all, we demand a thorough joint investigation. If responsibilities are established, we also demand justice for our comrade, a fighter whose name is well known not only nationally but internationally, because his actions speak louder than words. Outraged protesters even called for the resignation of the Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. Enough is enough. It is time for President Alassane Ouattara to step down. He is dividing the people at a time when unity is crucial. After the Foreign Minister's statement, the Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson declared in an official statement read on a national television that Alinos Faso's death will not go unpunished.
