The report calls for the immediate recognition of the state of Palestine by both the UK and France, warning that ongoing Israeli settlement expansion threatens the viability of a future Palestinian state. It also urges the UK to ban goods produced in Israeli settlements and extend sanctions on businesses operating in these areas, criticising the government's previous actions as insufficient.

The Palestinian Health Ministry says more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed near food distribution points in Gaza since the GHF started operating at the end of May. The UN organisations have refused to participate in the GHF distribution scheme, saying it lacks basic humanitarian principles. I was shocked to find out the difference between the original way in which aid was distributed in Gaza where there were 400 distribution points and now there are only four. I think I was really shocked to find out that. I was shocked to see the number of people who are being killed now on the West Bank. We're not even talking about the West Bank. I was shocked when I went to East Jerusalem to see the way in which East Jerusalem is being taken from the Palestinians. The report calls on both the UK and France to immediately recognise the state of Palestine while there is a state to recognise. Palestinians have been warning that Israel's illegal settlement expansion is killing any possibility for a viable future Palestinian state. On the same issue of Israeli settlements, the committee states that the UK needs to take a different approach. It urges immediate steps to ban goods produced and exported from them. Urging a bolder and firmer stance on settlements, the report urges the UK government to extend sanctions on businesses operating in the illegal settlements of the occupied West Bank.
