Bad Bunny was named the global top artist for the fourth consecutive year, amassing nearly 20 billion streams. Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish rounded out the global top five, while 'Die With a Smile' by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars was the most streamed song worldwide.

The report also noted the rise of international artists such as Arjit Singh and Fiyazur Rahida, as well as the continued influence of country and K-pop genres. Spotify introduced new features for users, including 'listening age,' top albums, audiobook genres, and listening clubs to enhance the annual Wrapped experience.

It's that time of year, Spotify wrapped is here. The streaming platform released its list today of most streamed artists, songs, albums, and podcasts of 2025. Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has been named the global top artist for the fourth time with nearly 20 billion streams. As you see on your screen, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish round out the top five. Global top song of 2025 is Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. It's followed by tracks by Billie Eilish, Rosé and Bruno Mars, Alex Warren, and of course, Bad Bunny. Here to break it all down is Selena Ong. She's Spotify's global head of music editorial. Selena, thanks for being here. Some of our producer's top artists this year were Kacey Musgraves, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Saja Boyz from K-Pop Demon Hunters. Were you surprised by any of the rap lists this year? So the ones that were pleasantly surprising for me, if we look at the US top 10 for artists, Tyler, The Creator. This is the first time he's on the US top artists list. Coming in at number nine, he has had such a great 13 months. He's with the success of Chromacopia at the end of October last year, and Don't Tap the Glass this year. And then also the appearance of international artists like Arjit Singh on the global top 10, which really speaks to the success of Indian music. And also Fiyazur Rahida, which they came in at number 10, and that signals just the growth and the engagement on Musica Mexicana. Does this portend anything for 2026, the artists and the songs that people are really into? So we see the continued country influence in the US, having Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan appear in the top artists list. And that wave will continue, like I think about great new artists in the space like Ella Langley. K-pop managed to have an even bigger year. I didn't think that was possible, but of course the phenomenon that was, that is K-pop demon hunters just has really dominated the charts and everyone's listening this year. And it's a good year for breakout artists, artists like Olivia Deen and Alex Warren. There's also an alternative influence when we look at the US top songs with Somba, Back to Friends, and also Role Model. And looking forward, I think it feels like emotionally charged music that's going to set to continue for 2026. What music isn't emotionally charged? What are some of the new features for users and anyone on your list you wanna share? We have a lot of new features. The one that everyone's talking about right now on day one is listening age. So this is- Yeah. I already got a text from someone. I'd love to know your listening age. So mine's 20. And it's based on this premise that people are very much kind of stuck in the music of their youth. And so we look at the tracks that you're listening to in 2025 and the release, those release dates, as well as your age. And we give you a listening age based on other people's listening as well and where you fall in that. And the other one I love this year is also top albums. So we see that like, what are the albums that you fell in love with this year and was like on repeat listen. And we've also introduced top audio book genre now that we have audio books on Spotify and also you'll have a clip from your favorite author. So these are some of the, and also listening clubs. So you're sorted into the type of music that the vibe of what you're listening to. For example, club serotonin. If you're in club serotonin, you're going to lean into feel good, high energy music.
