The US alliance was back in the spotlight after the government decided to overturn a ban on American beef exports. Of course, the President of the United States has raised it with the Prime Minister. But the Prime Minister quickly corrected his Trade Minister. Did Donald Trump raise this with you directly? No. Okay, so Trump didn't raise this with you on a phone call? No. There are even more questions now to answer and we now urgently need an independent review into this decision. Tomorrow, both Houses of Parliament will return for another busy sitting week. The Prime Minister, though, keen to stay on message despite Canberra's deteriorating relationship with Washington, insisting the focus is on fulfilling those election promises to ease the cost of living. This week, we will have cheaper medicines. Cutting back the cost of medicines to just $25. That is the same price they were back in 2004.
