Morocco has announced a $4.2 billion investment to upgrade its airports in preparation for co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Portugal and Spain. The plan seeks to increase the country's airport capacity from 38 million to 80 million passengers annually by the end of the decade. 

The initiative will focus on expanding and refurbishing airports in Marrakech, Agadir, Tangier, and Fez, with a particular emphasis on Casablanca's main airport. This development comes as Morocco's tourism sector continues to grow, having welcomed a record 17 million visitors in a recent year.
