Adrian Portelli, a 36-year-old businessman from Adelaide, has appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates' Court to face 19 charges related to allegedly running lotteries without a licence in 2023 and 2024. The charges involve his company, LMCT Plus, which is accused of offering cars, houses, and cash prizes to customers who purchased tickets or subscribed to its online rewards club.

Portelli has pleaded not guilty to all charges and claims he was given misinformation by authorities. The alleged offences do not carry a prison term, but the maximum penalty is $10,000. The trial is ongoing, with Portelli maintaining a confident stance in court.

If found guilty, the maximum penalty is $10,000. The alleged offence doesn't carry a prison term. Portelli appeared unfazed in court today, laughing, smiling and even moving his head side to side to music in videos that were tended as evidence against him.
