A powerful explosion ripped through a military explosives facility in Tennessee, leaving multiple people dead and 19 others missing, officials said. Nicole Valdes has the latest.

A significant explosion occurred at the Accurate Energetic Systems munitions plant in McEwen, Tennessee, resulting in the building being completely destroyed and leaving 19 people unaccounted for. The blast, which was strong enough to shake nearby homes, also sent at least four individuals to the hospital. 

Authorities have stated that the cause of the explosion is still under investigation, but there is currently no indication of terrorism. The facility, which handles military-grade explosives such as TNT, will remain under close scrutiny as officials conduct a thorough and methodical investigation. Residents have been advised to stay clear of the area while emergency services continue their work.

The deadly explosion happened just before 8 this morning. Had an explosion at Accurate Arms. Everybody is en route. Aerial footage shortly after showed a building at Accurate Energetic Systems, a munitions plant 60 miles southwest of Nashville, completely leveled. All that remained, smoking debris and charred cars nearby. There's nothing to describe. It's gone. It's again, it's the most devastating scene that I've seen in my career. The explosion so powerful it shook homes miles away. This security video captured the moment of the blast. First responders in Tennessee devastated by the search for the missing. We have been able to confirm that we do have 19 souls. That we're looking for. At least four others were taken to the hospital. Accurate Energetic Systems handles military-grade explosives and ammunitions, including TNT. Officials say this investigation could take weeks. We're going to be slow, methodical, and diligent, and do everything that we can to make sure this is what it is. Now, the cause of this explosion is still under investigation, although officials don't believe this was terrorism. They are, in the meantime, encouraging everyone to stay away from this area. John.
