According to the company, Arbaugh can control his computer and play video games using the device. Neuralink has shared a video detailing Arbaugh’s journey and the impact of the implant on his life.

The company is inviting interested individuals to apply for the implant through its website. However, it is important to note that the technology is still in its early stages and lacks approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). There have been ethical concerns raised about the treatment of non-human test subjects during earlier trials, which the government has pushed back against. Despite the potential benefits, individuals considering the implant should be aware of the existing regulatory and ethical issues.
