The Upper Peninsula of Michigan could see between one and two feet of snow, while cities like Minneapolis are expected to experience manageable snowfall but dangerous travel conditions due to strong winds and reduced visibility.

Rain is forecast to begin in cities such as Chicago, Green Bay, and Detroit, with a transition to snow as the system progresses. By early morning, winds in Marquette, Michigan, could reach 60 to 75 miles per hour, contributing to hazardous conditions even in areas where snowfall has ceased.

but we have blizzard warnings out. Even where we're not anticipating a lot of snow, that is not a criteria to have a blizzard. Especially the UP of Michigan, there's that potential for either a foot or two feet of snow. Areas like Minneapolis, I think we're looking at very manageable as far as snowfall amounts, but when you combine that with the wind, certainly that is when we see the reduced visibility. The blizzard warnings stop just shy of Minneapolis, but certainly I think we could see some dangerous reduced visibility for travelers the second half of the day in Minneapolis. Duluth included in that as the winds start to kick up, and then look at the low pressure. It deepens, and as it does, the wind's increasing in response. Chicago, Green Bay, we start off with rain. Perhaps some lighter snowflakes in Chicago on the backside of this. Green Bay, you'll get a couple of inches of snow out of this. You see the rain starting in Detroit. Eventually, most of Michigan starts to see the changeover into snow, but I wanna stop this at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning. Low pressure is very strong now, and the winds, in response, 60 to 75 miles per hour in Marquette, and that is how we have all of that fresh snow on the ground. The snow actively falling, certainly gonna cause problems, but even where the snow has stopped, like say Minneapolis, down through Des Moines, where we're not really anticipating much snow, the wind is still howling.
