Winter storm Bellamy is set to affect the Northeastern United States with a combination of gusty winds, rain, and snow. Winds are expected to taper off along the I-95 corridor, which may help reduce some airport delays, but snow is forecast to begin later in the evening and continue into the following morning.

The heaviest snowfall is anticipated in lake-enhanced areas, with some regions likely to receive three to six inches, and the Teleco Plateau possibly seeing more than half a foot of snow. Rain and additional gusty winds throughout the day are expected to cause further travel disruptions on roads and at airports.

So winter storm is on the way. The winds kind of gusty, blustery. They'll start to taper off later on this afternoon across parts of the I-95 corridor. That should help out some of the airports. Again, the winds too strong. See some delays, but here comes the snow later on tonight and into tomorrow morning. We wake up this time tomorrow with more snow here, not so much like effects, no, but just general snowstorm snow. The lakes will add more moisture to that system, but throughout the day I look for rain to come through with more gusty winds, which means more weather to come through. More weather causing travel delays on the roads and the airports as well. We do think the bulk of the snow will be in some of those lake enhanced areas. And then as that system moves away, then we crank back on the lake effects snow area as well. So those are the kind of bullseyes for those heaviest totals, maybe three to six inches. Some of the Teleco Plateau might see more than a half a foot of snow.
