His sons thanked the crowd, calling it a critical moment for their father and the future of Brazil's democracy. We've had support throughout Brazil. We feel that injustice could be done. So we have to come here and thank these people that continue to support my father and pass on to him the energy that he needs right now. Bolsonaro faces five charges and a possible 30 years in prison over the alleged coup attempt. He's denied any wrongdoing and caused the trial politically motivated. The case has drawn global attention after Donald Trump slammed it as a witch hunt, linking it to a new 50% US tariff on Brazilian goods.
