Russian strikes on the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia resulted in at least three deaths and two injuries, with multiple residential buildings and homes damaged. Ukrainian officials reported that at least five strikes caused fires and destruction, including the complete collapse of one house where a woman may be trapped.

In response, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian positions in the annexed Crimean peninsula. The Moscow-appointed head of Crimea reported a drone attack on the Forest Sanatorium hotel, claiming three people were killed. Russia's defense ministry condemned the strike, describing it as a terrorist attack on civilian targets.

At least three people were killed and two others were injured as Russian forces struck the southeastern city of Zaporizhia overnight into Monday. Ukrainian officials say there were at least five strikes on various settlements, which caused fires and damaged private residential properties. At least 15 multi-story apartment buildings and 10 civilian homes sustained damage in the attacks. One of the houses was completely destroyed, with local authorities saying a woman may be trapped underneath the rubble. Meanwhile, Ukraine has also fired back, targeting Russian forces in the annexed Crimean peninsula. The Moscow-appointed head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported a drone attack on a hotel, the Forest Sanatorium, which he claimed killed three people. Russia's defense ministry denounced the strike, calling it a terrorist attack on civilian targets.
