The manufacturer of Tylenol has strongly rejected the administration's position, stating that scientific evidence does not support a connection between acetaminophen use and autism. The administration is expected to recommend that pregnant women only use Tylenol to treat fevers, due to the risks fever itself poses during pregnancy. The news has led to a significant drop in the stock price of Tylenol's parent company.
