ICE doesn't belong here. The federal government doesn't belong here. We're not afraid and that we are here to preach a message, again, of solidarity and peace and that ICE is simply not welcome in the state of Minnesota or Minneapolis as a whole. I'm protesting today because ICE has infiltrated Minnesota and is kidnapping our neighbours. We are not going to cower in fear. We got to start reining in this lawless agency and so we're demanding that our leaders act. At a gas station in Minneapolis, protesters confronted ICE agents questioning a man about his immigration status. Get the f*** out of our city. I'm not going to get out of your city, number one. Yes, get the f*** out. Meanwhile, Democrats representing Minnesota in Congress say they were not allowed to inspect an ICE detention facility in Minneapolis. They are not only disappearing people who have committed crimes, who are in this country undocumented. They are disappearing US citizens, they are disappearing people who have proper documentation, sometimes telling them that their documentations are wrong, keeping them for days upon days. At the scene of the shooting, the mass of floral tributes is growing by the day. But there's little sign of tensions easing.
