Thousands of people gathered at Bondi Beach in Australia to honor the victims of a deadly attack that occurred during a Hanukkah celebration. The attack, carried out by two gunmen targeting a Jewish community, resulted in the deaths of 15 people. 

The memorial included a minute of silence, candle lighting by the father of the youngest victim, and tributes from local surfers. Authorities reported that the attackers were inspired by ISIS, with one killed by police and the other facing multiple charges. The government has since announced new laws to address hate speech and radicalization.

Today in Australia, on the final night of Hanukkah, thousands of candles lit up Bondi Beach. The crowd came together to honor the victims of last Sunday's targeted attack. CBS's Lee Kenyree has more from our London Bureau. Good evening. Thousands came out to the iconic Bondi Beach on what the government called a National Day of Reflection. Crowds observed a minute of silence at 6.47 p.m. That's the exact time that last Sunday, two gunmen began a deadly attack that killed 15 people. They targeted a Jewish community gathered to light the first candle of Hanukkah. And today, the eighth and final candle was lit by the father of the youngest victim. His daughter, Matilda, was just 10 years old. Australia's Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, was booed as he walked through the crowd. He's been under pressure to respond to rising anti-Semitism in the country. And this week, he announced new laws to target hate speech and those who spread radicalization. Authorities said the gunmen, a father and son, were inspired by ISIS. The father was killed in the shootout with police, but his son has been charged with 59 offenses, including murder. This week, there were emotional funerals and there were also remarkable stories of heroism. One man who tried to tackle the gunman at one point, Ahmed El Ahmed, was recovering in the hospital when presented with community donations equal to over 1.6 million U.S. dollars. And Sydney's surfers paid tribute in their own way with a giant paddle out, forming a circle of thousands in the community on the waves. They held a moment of silence before cheering together. Australia's state leader told the crowds today, you have reclaimed Bondi Beach for us. But Jerrica, he also apologized for the government's failure to protect its citizens.

At least 15 documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that were initially made public have been pulled from the Justice Department website. The agency says it will keep reviewing and redacting materials to "protect victims."
