Calls for social cohesion and warnings against associating with extremist elements were prominent throughout the events.

But I'd say to them, be careful of the company you keep. The Adelaide crowd splitting when a man from the neo-Nazi National Socialist Network took to the stage. When the microphone was cut off, he grabbed a megaphone. A scuffle breaking out between protesters, police jumping in. I don't think that marching alongside neo-Nazis is conducive to social cohesion in this country. As for the protesters who took their fight directly to federal parliament, the anger was squarely directed at the Prime Minister. Every Australian deserves to be welcome in their own community.
