Investigators say a teenage boy was struck in a midday shooting in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood on Thursday.

A 15-year-old boy was shot near the intersection of Fifth and Olney in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood during the midday hours. The incident prompted a significant police response, and the victim was transported to the hospital, though his condition remains unknown.

Authorities are actively searching for two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. Police are canvassing local businesses for surveillance footage to aid in their investigation, as the area is a busy commercial district.

There's a large police presence What we've been told is in like the last hour probably just after 1130 that there was a shooting that had occurred involving a 15 year old Police are currently looking for two suspects at this point in time But this is still just a very active scene ongoing investigation Not as much information that I can kind of relate to you But I just like I said can just paint the picture in the scene that you have here with the large police presence That's here. There's also two Circles that are next to that wall that says sips There's two circles down there to indicate the actually you can see them right now They're marking where they have the the shell casings. You can see it where they have the the orange cones right there But like I said, this is still a very active investigation here at the intersection of fifth and only Shooting involving a 15 year old that 15 year old has been transported to the hospital The condition of that 15 year old is unknown at this point in time But police are supposedly looking for two suspects involved in this case now, this is a very business central area Here along fifth and only there's a large number of businesses that are located here So as you can imagine Police are doing their due diligence now Going into a number of these businesses trying to see if there's any surveillance video that they can try to capture the two suspects Which they say that they believe there are two suspects involved in this case This person because you know, it's gonna come up it's the middle of the day on a Thursday. Why?
