Sydney's Royal Randwick racecourse hosted a major Melbourne Cup celebration, drawing more than 20,000 people before the first race began. The event featured not only horse racing, including the $3 million Big Dance, but also fashion displays, pamper lounges, and entertainment.

The favourite horse, Gringotts, secured a back-to-back win in the Big Dance, while additional races and festivities kept attendees engaged. Organizers and guests highlighted Sydney's growing reputation for hosting large-scale Melbourne Cup parties.
