Sydney's iconic New Year's Eve fireworks display is set to be its largest ever, and will include a special tribute to the victims of the Bondi terrorist attack.

Preparations are underway for Sydney's largest ever fireworks display, directed by Fortunato Foti, featuring 13,500 aerial fireworks and 25,000 ground-based effects. The event aims to bring the community together after a challenging year, with a special tribute planned for the Bondi victims, including a minute's silence and a message of peace.

The show will introduce never-before-seen fireworks, such as cracker cockatoos and koalas, and two rainbow waterfalls cascading over the Harbour Bridge. Over a million spectators are expected at 53 vantage points, with the event broadcast to 425 million viewers worldwide under increased security measures.
