Our partners at Televisa say the man stabbed his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend in East Village on Thursday morning. That person suffered life-threatening injuries. San Diego police tell us the suspect then took off in a gray Mercedes and headed to the border. That's where a shooting broke out between Mexican law enforcement and the suspect. Televisa reports the man's face and hands were injured. He was taken to the hospital. It was cordoned off by Mexican officials. An investigation is now underway on both sides of the border.
