Some services remain unavailable or delayed as efforts to restore systems continue. Cybersecurity experts caution that hackers may have been present in the system for months, and that recovery could take several weeks. Residents are advised to remain patient as the state works to address the full extent of the attack.

Nevada is still recovering from going dark more than a week ago and will likely still see the impacts of that even through this morning and for the next couple of days. But there are resources that are available to you. If you need information, Governor Joe Lombardo made sure that there were two new resources put into place for those of you who have questions. If you take a look at your screens, you'll see the new website that the governor has indicated for us. It's oem dot gov slash recovery and it's giving a real time update of what resources are available and where people can go if they have questions. And we wanted to ask a cyber security expert questions that you've had about the extent of the attack and what this could mean if hackers were able to get any personal information from you. Could they use it? Maybe, maybe not. It depends on what they got and what they're trying to do with it. So likely we're just anonymous people. So if they got all the state's data, you talk about several million people, you're one among millions. Maybe something happens to you, but the odds go down because of that. Cyber security experts warn that hackers could be inside the system for months and recovery could take weeks. And while it may be pricey, experts are saying that malware protection is worth the cost after this statewide cyber attack. Now, in response to this attack last week, Governor Joe Lombardo did say to have patience because the extent of this attack will likely take weeks to figure out. The governor also did implement a phone number to 11 that you can call for more information reporting in Las Vegas. I'm Haley Gravitt.
