Charleston saw a daily rainfall record broken yesterday, and their threat is not done yet. Another round of rainfall from a stalled frontal boundary draped across the Southeast could bring another soggy day for the region.

Charleston recently recorded 4.16 inches of rain, marking its ninth wettest August day on record. The heavy rainfall has prompted flood watches from Columbia to Jacksonville, with conditions favorable for flooding in these areas.

Flash flooding concerns are expected to persist, with the risk extending into the coming days due to ongoing storms and upper-level weather patterns. Some areas, particularly south of Tampa, may see rainfall totals between 3 to 5 inches as the weather system continues to impact the southeastern United States.
