The primary hazards from these storms include damaging winds, with gusts reaching up to 70 miles per hour, and large hail. While the tornado threat remains low, it cannot be completely ruled out.

Storms are expected to impact areas from Nebraska through Minnesota and into the upper Midwest, with the potential for localized flooding due to repeated rounds of rain. Cities such as Milwaukee, Chicago, and Peoria are in the zone of concern, and rainfall totals could reach one to two inches in some locations.

Let's go ahead and take a look at the overall forecast. We're going to see a good cluster of big storms down into Nebraska. That gives us technically all modes of severe weather threats. Alright, the tornado threat's low, but there's still a threat out there. We're going to see more wind damage and hail with these storms. That's for certain. I mean, we're talking 60, 70 mile an hour gusts. Look at this storm blowing through Duluth, 3, 4, 5 o'clock. I mean, we had a Boeing feature. That thing's going to be racing eastward. So the upper peninsula, you're going to get hammered with that. Notice these little hailers coming into the land of 10,000 lakes. They're scattered all over the place. Frontal boundary comes down west of the Sioux. We've got more potency in and around the I-80 corridor. That is now racing east through the evening hours. Sun is setting. Storms are still lighting up like firecrackers with lightning. Of course, some of it could be cloud to ground. Really big feature. Then we'll be with us going into tomorrow, Twin Cities. You've got some rain to deal with as we head into Wednesday morning still. And then, of course, still some showers out here around Billings and parts of the eastern sections of Montana. So tomorrow, the bullseye kind of moves a little bit. Milwaukee, Chicago, Peoria, northern Illinois, all of you are in that zone. The greater picture does include Michigan and still goes back into Nebraska. But since we've got these repetitive rounds of rain, I mean, we're talking about maybe a localized flood threat here. But either way you look at it, it's always good to see one to two inches come down, especially in an area that really needs it.
