Two others in South Australia were referred to local police, who confirmed no adverse outcomes following welfare checks. In Western Australia, one person was found safe while another remains unlocated. The incident has led to increased calls for accountability from Optus, with criticism mounting over the company's handling of the situation and its CEO facing growing pressure.

Pressure mounting on Optus as more users affected by outage

First tonight, the triple zero Optus failure continues to worsen after the telco identified a further seven people who could not contact the emergency line during Thursday's outage.
