I mean, he could be anywhere, really. He was last seen on his property in Popunka on Tuesday, where he allegedly killed two police officers. With 450 officers on the hunt, they've now widened their search area, working on the theory the bushman can navigate the rugged terrain with ease. I mean, we've had some horrendous weather the last couple of days, but if you've got warm gear and you've got the right boots and all that, and you're fit enough, yeah. Yeah, my word, it's doable. A bearcat and armed vehicles carried out a raid in Myrtleford, the suburb the accused cop killer used to live in. Neighbours claim one of Desi's cars was seen on the property. I'm pretty upset because I just don't believe in what he's done. It's terrible. I just hope to God they can catch him. A video circulating on social media from 2022, uncovering a sinister insight into the mind of the wanted man and how he viewed Victoria police. They are filthy, corrupt, disgusting, lawless predators who seem to get some thrill out of messing with people's lives. The self-proclaimed sovereign citizen, no stranger to run-ins with the law. Today, a thick blanket of snow covered the Alpine region, bringing with it tourists excited to hit the slopes. I think there's a metre of new snow this weekend, which should be lovely. All of them ignoring the safety advice from Victoria police to cancel trips and stay away. Hoping there'd be less people because of it. I was hoping it's kind of like, that's the time to go. But no, it didn't deter me. I think the police have got it under control. Will avoid the area? Is that something you will do? No. The police operation is around the clock. Last night, officers raided a property on Alrema Crescent in Bright, arresting a man and seizing weapons. The 61-year-old told 10 News he doesn't know Desi Freeman personally, but admits the pair are both part of an apocalyptic preparations group on Facebook. The police have made it clear anyone aiding Desi will be prosecuted. As the fugitive hides out from the very people he loathes the most. To you, Victoria police, your bloody reputation is already floating in the toilet and you seem determined to flush it down. While the community remain on edge, they farewelled a fallen officer. They've been using media all week to urge him to surrender. The only comments we've had from them today is that they have moved their command post here to Ovens. We've seen them coming in, moving all of the equipment, all of the vehicles. The choppers have also moved in here moments ago, but they are still determined to find Desi. Police have also said that they have now had confirmation on when those funeral arrangements will be for the two fallen officers. Senior Constable Duvart will be farewelled on Friday, September 5, and Senior Constable Thompson on Monday, September 8. Both will be at the Police Academy in Glen Waverley in Melbourne's East.
