Weather forecasts indicate that moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will bring energy for thunderstorm development in Ohio. Some of these storms could become severe, producing strong winds and hail, and may impact Friday night plans.

While the thunderstorms may appear small on radar, they are expected to be noticeable due to lightning and thunder as they move through the region. The storms will move southeast and clear out, with rainfall not expected to be widespread or heavy.

Moisture is going to be pulled up on the southern side of this from the Gulf, so we are going to get some of that energy to develop and that means that we could see some thunderstorms firing off for us now some of those could turn. Severe watch out for some strong winds with these little hail with these as well, but notice these little cells. I know they don't look big on my map, but I'll tell you what when they come through, you will know it. You will know it with the lightning and the thunder and it all drops South as we head into the Southeast, but it does clear and it's not super widespread or super heavy, which is really nice.
